chalcopyrite looks a bit like pyrite & is even named similarly. chalcopyrite is perhaps a little more high vibe than pyrite is, but with some similar benefits. where pyrite is comprised of iron sulfide, chalcopyrite is made up of sulfides of both copper & iron. in the light you can see sort of a rainbow iridescence in chalcopyrite that makes it extra magical! this is actually a tarnishing from exposure to oxygen. it’s often referred to as peacock ore, especially when this rainbow iridescent effect is encouraged through chemical treatment.
